Tawhid Rahman serves as the Senior Enterprise Risk Analyst at U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). As the ERM Program Lead, Tawhid is spearheading DOT's efforts to integrate ERM with performance monitoring and budget formulation processes to drive strategic decision making. Before joining DOT, Tawhid spent more than 10 years of his career in the private sector as a management analyst, specializing in ERM, financial management and audit. Tawhid has advised senior leadership at federal agencies as well as private entities in Financial Services, FinTech, Healthcare, Retail and Transportation sectors. Most recently, Tawhid led the Federal ERM consulting practice at Ernst and Young (EY). During his time at EY, Tawhid advised several federal agencies, including DOT, on how to mature their ERM framework and establish iterative, technology-enabled process to identify, assess, prioritize, monitor and manage their enterprise risks. While serving as a consultant at DOT, Tawhid led the automation of annual risk profile update process by leveraging combined capabilities of SharePoint, Power Apps and Power BI, resulting in a dynamic, ongoing process of transforming risk data into risk insights. Prior to EY, Tawhid worked as an ERM expert and auditor at Big 4 audit firms.
Tawhid has an MBA from Brandeis University and holds a number of certifications including RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP), RIMS-CRMP-Federal micro credential, Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and Scaled Agile Framework Scrum Master (SSM). Tawhid has been a member of AFERM since 2017.
