John is a Managing Director within Deloitte's a Government & Public Services (GPS) Risk & Financial Advisory Practice, where he assists in leading the firm's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) efforts. He helps clients drive value in risk management by connecting ERM and other risk and controls functions with strategic planning, performance management, and governance.

Prior to joining Deloitte, John served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Planning & Performance Management and Chief Risk Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has over 30 years of experience supporting and serving in the government including 20-years in the Army.
